I will say, this mood board ended up being a little softer and “less elegant” than the invitations ended up being. What do you think?
First of all, let me make a point to let you guys know how hard it is to show of the gold foil on a wedding invitation! Haha – it takes a lot more work than you might realize! But seriously. I had my arm “tri-pod” hooked to an old wall shelf, held that down with a few stacks of card stock. Then I had the self timer set so I could move the invitation around and give the off the glare of the foil. #Embarrassing.
Anyways, how gorgeous are these invitations? Monique and Kevin had a very clear vision when they came to me, and knew that they wanted the gold foil vintage corners to be the focus of their wedding invitations. We opted for a flat printed RSVP to save a little bit of money, and I think they tie in very well with the navy text on the main invitation card!
We kept the text very classic with a formal script font throughout the invitation and RSVP card, but broke it up with different sizes on the texts. Overall, I think that these turned out beautifully and really represent the Black Tie affair well.
