Have you been eyeing our designs but not really sure where to start? Are you wondering exactly how the whole process works and what it really means to be a #UFBride? Well you’re in luck, because today I decided to sit down and write a complete walk through of our on-boarding process and the entire #UF experience!
Yep! If you’ve been looking at our Pinterest board or following along on Instagram, it’s time to reach out and fill out our questionnaire. Even if you message me, or email me directly I am going to ask you to fill out our questionnaire. It is a baseline of information I need to send you over the proper information & pricing for what you are looking for!
You should always hear back from us within 24 business hours. (We are open Monday through Friday from 9AM-4:30PM, so if you inquire Friday night, hang tight! We will get back to you ASAP!)
We will chitchat back and forth briefly if I have any questions about your answers, or if you have something specific you need answered. Once #UF has a pretty good idea of what you’re wanting, I will generate a proposal and custom mood board for you and your boo.
The proposal lays out the majority of things we offer, and is completely interactive so that you and your fiancé can click through different options and watch the total change at the bottom of your screen. Once you have come up with the components to your suite that work for you and your price range, you will submit it to me!
Just kidding. After you have finalized all of the components and add ons you want, all of the logistics come in to play. I’m talking the contract, wording form and invoice. A 30% non-refundable deposit is due before any of the designing begins, as well as the signature on the contract.
*We accept payment via Paypal/CC#, or check*
At this point I will also give you a love story form to fill out. The more mushy gushy, the better. I won’t force you to give me all of the details of your life with your fiancé, but I want them :). This form is also where I get the wording and verbiage for your actual invitations.
Once the forms are submitted, the fun part of the process begins for me! I get to start curating your custom design – playing with your different elements, I will shoot you ideas about what I think will look good or how I envision the end piece.
We will send you digital proofs of your design, asking you to give me as much feedback as humanly possible. I want these babies to be perfect, so you shouldn’t hesitate to critique it as much as you want!
We will go back and forth on the revision/proofing process until everything is exactly how you want it. Once you think they look good for print, I will have you sign off on the proof and pay your remaining balance. Once these two tasks are finished, the printing begins and so does your patiently waiting phase 🙂
All of the printing and assembly gets started as soon as you approve the design and pay the remaining balance. Sometimes this includes printing the addresses on the envelopes (this is about a 2 week process). Sometimes it means we are mounting backers to your invitations, or wrapping your suite in vellum and sealing it with wax!
Your timeline changes depending on the style of printing, and the amount of assembly involved with your order. For example, flat printed suites with little to no assembly will be ready in about a week. But letterpress invitations with pockets, addressing and envelope liners will be closer to a 3-3.5 week production timeline.
Once your custom wedding suite is completely finished and assembled, we meticulously package up your orders and send them to you! It isn’t the last you will hear from us – but I don’t want to give away my surprises for our #UFBrides here. You will just have to wait and see after you book! 🙂
