Nicole emailed us about her wedding invitations the last week in January with a short turn around time. We were able to work quickly and efficiently to create these beautiful invitations! We started with a more floral design, but quickly opted for a class design that incorporated the oak tree from her venue. We’ll talk more about the oak tree and her venue later, but for now let’s meet the love birds!
David and I met in Lake Tahoe, CA. We love outdoor adventure on the mountain and in the lake during the summer months. As a couple, we enjoy going to the movies (we just got back from Sundance Film Festival), and trying new restaurants, exploring new neighborhoods and traveling whenever we get the chance. However the biggest part of our life is our 1 year old daughter, Harper, we love to take her with us wherever we go…she’s quite the adventurous little one! 🙂
What they’re most excited for on their big day:
The ceremony and then dancing all night long with our closest friends and family!
Campovida in Hopland California is absolutely stunning. Nicole and David’s venue is what inspired their wedding invitations. The stand alone oak tree creates the most charming setting you could image. I feel like I say this a lot, but this wedding is one I would definitely want to be at! I mean how beautiful is this place!? On the mood board below, the top right photo is also from their venue. I mean, are you kidding me?
The invitation started with burgundy and blush florals and lots of greenery. Nicole was thinking she wanted flowers without it giving a “garden” or “bridal shower” theme. The main color of her wedding is sage, and that is what her bridesmaids will be wearing. After the first proof we switched the format, colors and entire aesthetic of her invitations. We incorporated the oak tree form her venue on the main invitation and the RSVP. We also made the details cards a little more fun by pulling the fonts from her after party location’s brand.
We continued the font theme on her addressed envelopes and I just love how cohesive everything turned out, even with the fun fonts on the details card. Everything was printed on our 130# matte cardstock, making them feel very luxe. All in all, I love these invites, and working with Nicole was like working with an old friend! 10/10 would recommend
See ya next Sunday! Thanks for following along. Enjoy the rest of your day!
