Bride’s Names, Age, Job and where she lives:
Holly Tegeder (now Gerth), 31, Pediatric Audiologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, lives in Columbus, Ohio
Groom’s Name, Age, Job and where he lives:
Andrew Gerth, 33, Pharmacy Technician at Ohio State Martha Morehouse, lives in Columbus Ohio
How you two met:
We have been best friends for years and years (since 2006). We met while Holly was in college and Andrew was hanging out with her mutual friends. Pretty soon, Andrew was part of the big friend group and Holly and Andrew became best friends. Fast forward to 2012, when Holly and Andrew were both in the same city (finally!) and single, and decided to take a chance on a relationship. Soon after we moved to Atlanta for Holly’s job and spent the first three years of our relationship in Atlanta. The rest is history.
Shades of blue with pops of gold.
Anything unique happen or with decor?:
We did a sparkler send-off. It was so, so cold that night, but lots of fun. On each table, we had corresponding pictures of Holly and Andrew at that age. So on table 1, there was a block with a picture of Holly at age 1 and Andrew at age 1. That was fun for guests to look at.For food we did appetizers and a pasta station. Everyone loved it and it was delicious comfort food.

What was your favorite part of the day?
All of it? Haha! I loved our first look, and getting to spend that time with Andrew alone. The ceremony was very special and celebrating with friends and family afterwards was amazing. My dad walked me down the aisle. This was so huge. He recently had broken his hip and was simultaneously undergoing chemotherapy, so the fact that he worked so hard to be able to walk me down the aisle and shake Andrew’s hand was amazingly huge.We loved dancing with all of our friends, family and coworkers. And the sparkler send-off was so fun. But mostly, at the end of the day, we loved getting to call each other husband and wife.
Is there anything that you would change looking back on it?
Looking back, I may have changed the room we decided to get married in. It was so convenient to have it at Water’s Edge, but it doesn’t look as pretty in photographs.
What advice would you give to new brides?
A wedding is just that, as wedding. It’s a celebration. It’s supposed to be fun. Don’t tie so much stress into one day. Try to relax, have fun, everyone is there to celebrate you and your new husband!
