A Wedding That Will Make You Want To Go Natural and Cut the Color

Your Name, Age, Job & Where You’re From:

Leslie Roosa, 25, Educational Aide, Hamilton OH

Your Spouse’s Name, Age, Job & Where They’re From:

Noah Henson, 24, Financial Advisor, Hamilton OH

How You Two Met:

Noah and I met in college through mutual friends. We actually went to the same high school, however we never spoke or officially met on another.

What was your first impression of each other?

His first impression of me was in high school walking down the halls and it was that he thought I was very good looking and also very intimidating.

My first impression of him… I don’t really know this one except for when we were finally formally introduced in college where he had no shirt on and i thought his abs were NICE…….lol

How did you know you were in love?

Noah and I hung out as friends for a pretty long time before we started dating. He had a girlfriend and I wasn’t looking for anything. Once he became single it was almost second nature to be attracted to each other. It didn’t take long for us to realize we were with the person we would eventually marry.

How did the proposal happen?

Noah proposed on his very own birthday. We went out to dinner to a nice restaurant solely because we had a gift card. Afterwards, he asked if i wanted to take a walk down by the river, which is incredibly uncommon because he hates walks. However, i was completely oblivious since it was his birthday- i saw nothing coming. he proposed down by the river under the trees.

What was the style of your wedding?

Natural

What were your colors? What did the bridal party wear?

Nude, sage/olive green

bridal party wore cameo (a very light natural pink)

Did you have any unique features in the decor?

Old window
homemade wax covered wine bottles made by a friend (Lindsay)
table numbers made by the same friend (Lindsay)
All fit the natural theme

What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan?

My favorite part of the wedding to plan was where we got to go for each part- the church, the first look, the hotel, the reception, etc.

If you had to pick a favorite moment of the day what would it be?

My favorite moment of the entire day was when the doors opened in front of me to walk down the aisle & i saw Noah standing down there at the end. Everything and everyone else around me was a total blur. It felt as if i had tunnel vision.

Did you do a first look? Why/why not? Are you happy about that decision?

Yes. We did a first look at a park in Covington, KY called Devou park. It’s a park that looks entirely over the city. I am definitely happy that we did this especially because i cried walking down the isle anyways, i cant imagine what i would have been like had i not seen him prior. He calmed my nervous without trying on the way to the church together.
