Ricky and Jessica first met on a Sunday afternoon in Downtown San Jose. He very politely introduced himself and she happily offered him a seat. They talked and bonded through their mutual friend Don Julio. Although neither of them were looking for a companion, a couple dates later proved you do not have to look for love to find it. It also proves to stay aware and know when something special presents itself. For Ricky and Jessica, they found a mixture of qualities in each other that were a perfect match. Everyone patiently waited for 6 years before Ricky built up enough courage to ask Jessica for her hand in marriage. The couple were engaged in Napa, the very town the two took their first getaway. They love to go to the gym, workout, be outdoors, and going to restaurants. They are well traveled and have been to Cancun, Lake Tahoe, Pismo, New York, Napa and Reno together – yes, I am a little jealous 🙂
Jessica noted that she is most excited to party with friends and family and spending the rest of my life with my best friend! Their color palette includes soft lilac tones with greys and silvers.
When Jessica contacted us about her wedding invitations, she thought she wanted something with very simple typography, but after going through the design process we ended up adding in some lilac florals and formatting her invitation a little differently. I love this format & we have used it on other client’s invitations before, but never with this color scheme. The soft lilacs give them a romantic feel that I just can’t get over!
Below is part of what our invitation proofs look like. You can expect to receive your proof from me within 3 business days after putting down your deposit. A lot of times I will start with one card in the proofs to make sure the client & I are on the same page for what they want. Once I get the go ahead, I begin the additional inserts and other details!
Anyways, happy Sunday! Go out and crush your week and be sure to check back Tuesday & Thursday for our new posts!
