Lauren and Anthony reached out to us through Pinterest, where a majority of our clients find us! In our initial questionnaire she wrote to us about how her and Anthony were college sweethearts. They met in their first year of Law School at University of Chicago! Lauren and I connected pretty quickly because she shares my love for the darker moody tones. Needless to say I was excited to get working on her design!
Lauren loved the idea of having a border of florals, similar to some of our other designs. But after seeing the her first proof, it didn’t excite her as much as she wanted. Instead I offered to try a floral background while keeping the middle of the invitation slightly opaque, ensuring she could still enjoy the floral print without it overtaking the whole invitation.
Being that the wedding had a very modern style to it, we wanted to make sure to keep that theme within these invitations. The font styles she choose were for the most part very blocky, versus the popular script and calligraphy types that are in trend right now. As you can see we threw a little script in between the three cards to keep some balance, and formality.
To complete the wedding suite we added a lavender RSVP card, and a nice bold, black details card. Everything was sealed in white envelope lined with matching floral envelope liner. Lauren was so excited to see her invitations that she had us overnight them to her!! When our clients are happy, we’re happy!
