Krista and Spencer met in high school at a St. X football game in 2006 and quickly became friends, even attending prom together. After a few years of losing touch with one another, they reconnected when Spencer sent Krista flowers for her 21st birthday. They began dating long distance in the Spring of 2012…and the rest is history. Spencer, knowing Krista’s love for Disney, proposed to her on October 11, 2016 on the beach of the Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World while watching the fireworks. She said “Yes!” immediately, and the wedding planning quickly began. They will be getting married on May 26, 2018.
Krista reached out to us in September to start working on her wedding invitations. She sent us a couple photos of some of our older designs (shown below) but wanted to fuse them together to make them a little more unique! Although the colors were close to what she was looking for, she wanted to lighten up the slate blue gatefold to more of a spring dusty blue. Krista also sent us a picture of what her bouquet would look like to not only help with the color palette, but also allowed us to match the flowers! It was really important that we get this step in the design right, and I think we nailed it on the head!
As you can see, we kept the same font as the original design, but did a little tweaking in size and placement of all the wording. We also added matching dusty blue envelopes with delicate white addressing in a matching font as the invitations. We also added an envelope liner that really pulls the whole suite together! I really love how Krista and Spencer’s invitations turned out. More so than the original design! I think its a perfect representation of a fun spring wedding!
