3 Romantic Honeymoon Road Trips

Congratulations! After all the planning, once you have enjoyed your big day and sent your crazy
relatives on their way back home, the adventure begins. Now it’s time to start your new life
together and what better way than with a romantic road trip? Here are three trips that will make
it a honeymoon to remember:

Let’s start on the East Coast of the U.S. in Newport, Rhode Island. Park your RV in Meadowlark
RV Park which is conveniently located by all the sights and beaches. Turn up the romance and
pack a picnic basket with your favorite foods and a bottle of wine, then head out on a classic
New England drive on the coastline. A walk on the beach at sunset is a perfect picture-taking
opportunity. Day time activities are mansion viewing, horseback riding, and tasting the local
cuisine of chowder and lobster rolls. Take a day trip on the ferry out to Martha’s Vineyard for
some delicious wine tasting. This honeymoon is all about relaxing, eating, and soaking up the
sun.

Not a beach person?

Take a romantic road trip out west to Grand Canyon National Park. Make your way to the bottom of the canyon by hiking or mule. The El Tovar hotel provides an incredible place to share a meal while you watch the sunset on the canyon. During the day you can hike on one of many trails or climb to the watchtower for a 70-ft aerial view of the entire area. Then, cool off in Havasu Falls, some of the world’s most spectacular waterfalls. Park in Trailer Village on the South Rim for full hookups, access to all the sights, and gorgeous views. This romantic road trip has lots of goodies for any history buff while still setting the mood for a honeymoon to remember.

Are the mountains more your style?

Mosquito Creek Campground is better than it sounds. With panoramic views of Banff National Park this park is sure to turn up the romance and is conveniently located to one of the most beautiful national parks you will ever see. Banff is part of the Canadian Rocky Mountains where over three million people a year visit for a variety of activities that include hiking, biking, skiing and camping in some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery you will ever see. Rocky Mountain peaks, turquoise lakes, a picture-perfect mountain town and village, are quantities of wildlife and the most romantic scenic drives will make this honeymoon everything you ever wished for. Take a romantic scenic hike in spring, get your thrills in summer with a whitewater rafting trip, or snuggle up in winter by the fire after ice skating.

Make sure your camera is ready to go because although each of these places are in very different locations, they all feature stunning sights of nature and will be worth capturing memories of to show your children and grandchildren. Taking a romantic road trip is an amazing honeymoon option that you can personalize to your interest and adventure level.
