We often joke that our relationship was love at first sight, here is our version in our own words…
After agreeing to go on a blind date in true Cillablack blind-date style, I had no idea what to expect but was hoping for the best. Little did I know that I was about to meet a very special Californian Yank. Surprisingly we bonded on so many different levels including our love for NFL, particularly the classic 80’s era. Time flew and before I knew it I was sprinting to catch the last train back home to Bearsted. Our first date was short as it felt like there was so much more I wanted to catch up on so before I left. I said to Cristina we should meet up again. Thankfully she agreed and needless to say our second date was pretty successful!
We were introduced by a mutual friend and after some banter via whatsapp we decided to meet for a drink. I suggested that we meet at the Grosvenor Hotel so that we each had easy access to the Underground in case the night went south! I was pleasantly surprised that we had so much to talk about and so much in common! The hours flew by and when we were advised that the place was going to close, Douglas smiled and said “well I guess that just means we’ll have to do this again.” We’ve been inseparable ever since.
“We are so excited to take the next step and declare our life-long commitment to each other before God, and our family and friends. We can’t wait for our married life together.”
Cristina saw this invitation on our website from a previous client we had. She loved how elegant the suite was and wanted everything to be exactly the same as the pictures she saw! The invitation is complete with gold engraved invitations that are glued onto an opal mounted backer. This adds a little bit of texture and layers to the suite. Both of those are then placed into an opal laser cut floral pocket fold. Cristina completed the look with a crest wax seal!
