Navy and Burgundy Vintage Floral Illustration

The Couple:

Kaitlyn and Larry both grew up in Southern California; she was from San Clemente and he was born and raised in Huntington Beach his entire life! The couple decided to tie the knot at Pasea Hotel & Spa just off of PCH. I was really excited to work on this couple because my brother lives in HB and it all felt very ‘familiar’.

The Venue:

The Mood Board:

The Invitation:

The burgundy and navy illustration details on this suite add an elegant touch. Kaitlyn still wanted a modern and sophisticated feel for the invitations, but more than anything wanted them to scream “bridal”. What better way to do that than adding flowers? Especially sketched ones. The illustrated floral look gave her wedding suite a very soft touch.

The couple opted for Save the Dates, Invitations & RSVPs, and even the save the dates shard a little illustration love! I love how they incorporated the floral design through each element; even if it was just subtle on the Save the Dates.

The couple also ordered escort cards from us, which are probably my favorite wedding detail ever. Something about them just makes me feel like the class of the event goes up 5 notches. Maybe because I know how much time, money and effort go into them hahah.

I hope you liked this week’s feature. This color palette has been a huge one for us at Unica, and it’s always nice to get to create a completely new design using it!
