Gabby and Chris were actually referred to Unica Forma from a friend of mine. Referrals always seem to go smoothly and Gabby and Chris were no different. Gabby had seen one of our other invitations that she used for inspiration and made a couple of tweaks. She changed the color scheme to be dusty blue and lavender, the ‘title’ words to be in calligraphy and a dusty blue, rose and lavender floral design for the corners. Working with the couple was an absolute breeze and I love how soft and elegant these invitations turned out to be!
We began the design process with a custom mood board for the couple. I incorporated soft touches of dusty blue and lavender elements. The invitations shown here included a wax seal which is what ignited the idea of using vellum and a wax seal. Gabby went with the whimsical laurel wax seal rather than something with their initials which I actually love. They will be able to use the stamp for any mail they send out in the future! It is perfect!
Designing the invitation was a fairly quick process because Gabby and Chris came to me with a lot of their own inspiration and ideas. Referencing a different invitation design of ours allows us to use that template and then tweak the artwork and words easily.
I absolutely love how elegant and simple these invitations turned out to be. The vellum wrap really added a soft touch, making the suite more feminine. I cannot wait to see the photos from their big day in May! I know it will be absolutely gorgeous! Be sure to stay tuned and look out for their wedding spotlight later in the summer!
