5 Cute Ways To Involve Your Dog In Your Wedding

If you’re a dog owner, most likely your pets are apart of your family. Your dog may even have been the first to have meet your new spouse! If you find yourself wanting to include your furry friends in your wedding process, we’ve got a few ideas for you!

Save the Date photos

Before your wedding planning may really get going, this is an easy way to include your pets! If you decide to include a photo on your Save the Date invitations, bring your dog to the photoshoot! If worse comes to worse and your pet isn’t cooperating, you’ll still have plenty of photos with just you and your fiancé.

Ring bearer/ Flower girl

This is the gold standard to add your dog into the actual wedding ceremony. If you aren’t crazy about having a child as the ring bearer or flower girl, have your dog take their place! Or if your flower girl or ring bearer are old enough to handle the dog, have them walk down as a team!

Hound of honor

Have your four legged friend stand along side you as your hound of honor! You know what they say, dogs are a mans best friend. So why not have them by your side on one of the biggest moments in your life!

Family pictures

While shooting your wedding photos, take a family portrait including your dog! Some people like to dress their pets up in proper wedding attire, which is too cute to not make you smile.

Add them to your cake topper

Traditionally cake toppers are just the bride and groom, or may only say ‘Mr. and Mrs.’. But there are so many more options than that! You can find full family cake toppers, same sex toppers, so why not add your furry friends to the topper as well! This is also a great option if your venue doesn’t allow pets on the property. Its an easy and simple way to include them if they can’t be there physically.
