3 Ways To Cut Costs without Compromising The Invitation Design

Hiring a custom designer for your wedding invitations can cost a lot, trust me, I get it. We have had tons of clients who want the look of $7,000 invitations with a budget that is only half that. And you know what? We are able to use these short cuts to achieve the look without compromising the design. In some cases, we are even able to express more creativity with these alternative options! So what are they?

RSVP Postcards

This is always the first suggestion I make to clients who are trying to spend a less on their invitations. It goes a long way. Making your invitations a two sided printed card costs more than it being one sided, but you eliminate the RSVP envelope costs completely AND the backside gets addressed with your return address, eliminating that cost as well.

You could also just combine the info on the front of the RSVP card and save even more $$! On an order of 100 wedding invitation suites, this option will save you between $200.00-$300.00 and you aren’t losing any of the wow factor. Custom fonts are an additional cost for addressing, but when you are printing on the back of the card, all of the design work is included in the cost!

Two sided cards

This is another way to save some serious money on your invitations, especially if you have a higher quantity. Two-sided printing is much less than adding an entire new card for the wedding details. This option on an order of 200 suites will save you another $200.00-$300.00. And again, without this option your invitation will have a plain white (or whatever paper stock we are using) back. This will allow us to continue designing on the back and it will save you money!

Lower the Cost by Assembling Everything at Home

Assembly adds up if you have a lot of it. We always assemble the envelope liners no matter what, but pockets, mounted backers, etc.? choosing to mount your own invitations on their pockets or backers will save you a good chunk of money as well. If you’re interested in doing this, just reach out to us and I can get you more information on price differences.
