Winter, 1950’s art deco
Red, White, Silver, Grey
I had all these pins on Pinterest of snuggly winter weddings and also wanted an undertone of 1950s glamour. I was able to tie in the 1950s with the beautiful stationary from Unica Forma, and a few touches with hair, makeup, and the pearls that we incorporated into the décor.
After deciding to do all the décor myself, but you know how weddings go….I got so busy with all of the other details and needed help. My dear friend Ashley took on the décor of the reception and did a fantastic job. She took my vision and ran with it. I couldn’t have done it better myself! Ashley also was the vocalist for our ceremony. She sang Elvis Presley’s I can’t help falling in love with you – the brides late grandmothers favorite song
There was this specific pin of blankets at a winter wedding – I really wanted to use this idea for our favors. When I showed my mom, she knew exactly what to do! She even hand sewed the bells on all of these blankets! We had guests travel from Hong Kong, Japan, Texas, Colorado, and Pennsylvania! We had fire pits outside on the patio at the reception to provide a romantic ambiance and keep guests warm while getting some fresh air. Being that we are both musicians it was fitting to have our ceremony ( and rehearsal dinner!) at an arts center.

We got a room at The Charmont Hotel and used this hotel for the girls to get ready at and also take our first look photos. This hotel is so amazingly beautiful. It was definitely a highlight in our wedding weekend.
